Artist Statement
Through my landscape paintings, I aim to capture the play of light and shadow, the interplay of colour, and the textures and patterns found in the environment and its interaction with people. My goal is to create works that are both aesthetically pleasing and emotionally resonant, inviting viewers to experience the wonder and beauty of the world around us through art.
I usually wander through the city or a park and stumble upon a location that invites me to pause and meditate through the painting process. The environment around us is a symphony of motion: people passing by, birds chirping, varied scents and changing weather. I like to immerse myself in these surroundings and make intuitive decisions as I paint.
My process is similar to long-exposure photography, but more human, capturing a moment in time within a single frame.
